Discovering Biomarkers, Cross-Reacting Antibodies, and More

In this presentation, Heng Zhu, professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Molecular Sciences at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, will provide brief history of proteome array development and highlight two studies illustrating the use o HuProt arrays in biomarker indetification in lung cancer and the characterization of cross-reacting antibodies in severe alcoholic hepatitis. Zhu will also introduce the Virion Display (VirD) technology, demonstrate its applications in analyzing multi-path transmembrane proteins, such as GPCRS, and discuss the future directions of functional protein microarrays.
